Occasions Photography
Photography that helps you feel comfortable, confident and seen.
Whether you’re celebrating a wedding, family gathering, special birthday or milestone event, my approach is designed to help you relax in front of the camera so your photographs reflect who you truly are.
Many people tell me they hate having their photograph taken.
Some feel self-conscious. Some worry they’ll look awkward. Others are managing chronic illness, pain, anxiety, ADHD or sensory sensitivities that can make being the centre of attention feel overwhelming.
My role isn’t simply to take photographs.
It’s to help you feel comfortable enough to forget the camera is there.
Because the most meaningful photographs happen when you’re able to relax, connect with the people around you and enjoy the moment.

Camera Shy?
You don’t need to know how to pose.

Neurodivergent?
Gentle guidance, minimal flash and a calm approach.

Chronic Illness?
Photography that works with your energy, not against it.
Building Confidence From The Start
One of the first things I do during a shoot is show you some of the photographs on the back of the camera.
Not the edited versions.
The actual photographs I’ve just taken.
Time and time again I see shoulders relax and confidence grow almost instantly.
When people realise they already look natural, genuine and relaxed, the anxiety often disappears.
From that point onwards the camera becomes far less important and the experience becomes much more enjoyable.
Calm
Gentle guidance throughout the session.
Short sessions for those needing regular breaks.
Confident
See your photographs as we go.
Tell me what you like and don’t like.
Comfortable
Minimal flash wherever possible.
You dictate your poses.
Present
Focus on your day, not the camera.
Let me take care of the rest.
